A new website has been launched. Where Angling and Science Meet - PROJECT TARPON.com

There are a number of great features on this website - FORUMS, RESEARCH DATA, WEATHER (for tarpon locations around the country - tides predictions/current weather/radar).

The goal is to bring up to date research projects and results to the angler by networking with biologists performing state of the art biological research on tarpon.

The Season is Upon Us

Guys and tarpon nuts - the season is on us... anybody jumped any? Honestly, I haven't wet a line in Texas. Had a good trip in Florida and got to catcha tarpon on the new rod and reel. A Sabalo Seducer spinning rod and a new Van Staal 250 VSB. Wow, what a combo!!!!

There are fish around so be sure and go get you some. I expect we are going to have a fantastic season. Up until this week, the word is the water is good, fish have been in close and quite a few caught or jumped. Time to targe tarpon is here. Hope yall will make the tournaments.

Be sure and check out www.texas-offshore.com - there are some forums and we have a closed forum as well to allow true tarpon fisherman to network. It is by approval only and information shared is to be kept on the "QT"... for obvious reasons.

Good luck and go get a big one. First tournament is less than a month away!!!!!

Products Tarpon Tomorrow is Working on.....

Couple things I'm working on for Tarpon Tomorrow.

(1) A new Tarpon Tomorrow Release flag. It will look like this. Should be about $15 and you will get at least one when you enter the tournaments.

(2) A new "coon-pop" sytle lure. Grandad's Fishing Tackle is working on getting it cast in China. It will have a heavy copper wire to wrap around the hook and the lure itself will be a soft plastic bait with colors to mimic rainminnows and shad. The lead will be inside the lure body. Check back for updates.

Tournament Schedule and Format

Let me know what you think of the new Tournament format and schedule.

Are there any major problems with the dates (other than POCO BUENO)? If we are going to change any, we need to do it now.
